First of all: my real name is not Robert Dagda. Biggest twist of your life, I'm sure. You're heartbroken. The first name is homage to Robert H. Goddard, also known as the grandfather of modern rocketry. Meanwhile, the last name is in reference to an Celtic mythological god. I chose the name because sci-fi and fantasy is kind of my forté. In fact, every plan I currently have has some science fiction or fantasy twist to it if it's not just blatantly part of that genre already. So, that's the content you can expect from me.
"What's your real name?" If you're one people who just asked that, then first I think we need to have a little talk about how computers work. Second, if I just straight up told you my name then there was no point to me having a pen name to begin with. You'll just have to live with the mystery. Though, I'll at least tell you I'm British. It's why I chose a Celtic god and also why I have a nasty habit of sticking the letter 'u' in words where some of you think it doesn't belong.
I'd tell you my hobbies because what a person enjoys gives a lot of insight into what they write, but I'd just be listing most everything under the Sun. I'm a bit of a nerd. I enjoy: video games, books, TV shows, movies, anime and any number of other things. All of those things usually have a sci-fi or fantasy element to them. If you haven't guessed; that's my shtick. Also, I would count the superhero genre to fall under sci-fi and fantasy but it's so big now that I'd imagine people don't, so I thought I'd mention it here. I like superheroes.
I've been writing since 2014. Not on one project, but quite a few. Obviously, I needed to learn before making anything relatively consumable by the public and Heroic Spirits might be the first to reach that threshold. Even if I'm slightly worried, the crude tone would put people off. I've had a few projects die in the making, but I've never mentioned them before. I knew it'd happen; learning to write is a strenuous process. You start by making crap, then get better, and I hope to continue to grow even after my first publication. Just a fun fact: the first project I worked on was a comic, but as it turns out I can't draw at a level above a five-year-old. Probably for the best, the book format would've always worked better.
I hope you've enjoyed this little insight into me. Sorry I can't give you more, but it'd sort of ruin the anonymity of it all. Trust me, the mystery makes me cooler than I am. I'm a boring person. Hope you enjoy the stay on my little website, have a poke around and hopefully stay for the cake. The books are the cake. If you're looking for a place to go I'd suggest the book page. The books are more interesting than lil' ol' me.
